Quick Review: G.I. Joe

Ok I really enjoyed this movie. And NOT just because there were a lot of hot guys with their shirts off. But of course that was one of the reasons. ;) It had wonderful intense action. A lot of it. I mean A LOT. Often movies will over use special effect and action and the movie will end up just bland and unmeaningful.

This film did use way too many special effects, but on purpose. It was in a good way. I loved the overuse of special effects, explosions, hard-rock music, nuclear weapons, guns, hard-core characters decked out in black leather and army gear… oh yes. This film pulled it off. I had a great time. I highly reccommend it! Definitely try to catch in the theatre if you still can.

Quick Review: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Soooo excellent. I’ve actually seen this movie in the theatre twice now. First time with the family, then on my own. I was so impressed. It’s a lot more serious than the other Harry Potter films, but at the same time has some very funny moments. I can’t imagine much more they could do. I think it was perfect. Yes it was missing somethings from the book and I’ve heard a few people complain about this. But since I haven’t read the book in a couple years, I wasn’t watching and waiting for the film to steer in another direction. I was able to just take it in and enjoy it. That’s the best way to go from book to movie, I’ve found.

Do I even have to reccommend this one? It’s so obviously one everyone should see. Go see it. Period. In fact, go see it 3 times.

Angels and Demons opens this Friday

I’m way excited for Angels and Demons to come out this Friday. I read this book about 2 or 3 years ago so I don’t remember the whole thing, but I do remember it being my favorite book written by Dan Brown, and I’ve read all his books. The story is far better than the Davinci Code so I’m sure the movie will be better than the Davinci Code film too.

It’s featuring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon again of course. Something that doesn’t quite meet my approval since he’s way too famous to be in a part like this. When watching the Davinci Code all I saw was Tom Hanks, not Robert Langdon. Oh well, no movie is perfect, right? Well except of course Edward Scissorhands. :)

Check out the latest trailer if you haven’t yet. This movie should be great!

Star Trek XI Movie Clips!

These clips get me way excited about the new Star Trek coming out May 8th. The actors are taking these characters very seriously. I’m most impressed by Karl Urban’s McCoy. I didn’t think it was possible to do it so well. Click play to watch the videos:

The American ending to Pride & Prejudice

I was watching Pride and Prejudice online a little while ago and was shocked when the movie ended without showing the ending scene. It was soon after I realized that I was watching a UK version of the film. The ending that was missing is apparently an ending for the American version of the film only.

So for those of you who haven’t seen the best ending for this movie, Here it is:
